Rapper Yung Berg was reportedly fired from VH1's "Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood" after he allegedly beat up his girlfriend and costar Masika Tucker. Sources close to production told TMZ that he was let go and wouldn't be returning for a second season.
Berg was arrested last Wednesday for allegedly attacking Tucker inside the Gershwin Hotel in Manhattan, and was charged with obstruction of breathing. Police were called to the hotel around 2:30 a.m. on Nov. 5. Tucker refused medical attention, but accused Berg of choking her and dragging her across the floor.
The "Sexy Lady" rapper allegedly grabbed Tucker by the throat, threw her on the bed and then dragged her out the hotel room by her hair, according to TMZ. He then allegedly started choking her again. Sources told the site that the fight started after Berg's credit card was declined at a party following a taping of the "Love & Hip Hop" reunion.
Reportedly, he stormed out of the venue and went back to the hotel. Tucker, following close behind, told Berg that she had paid the bill, but was angry he had left her at the club. Berg snapped and began choking Tucker, TMZ reported.
However, gossip site Media Take Out claims that the drama with Berg and Tucker started when the two accused Tucker's ex-boyfriend, Mally Mall, of being "gay."
"[Yung Berg] called [Mally] gay and Ray J had Berg's back with the gay comments," the source told MTO.
Reportedly, Mally got upset and walked off stage during the taping and refused to sign paperwork to allow VH1 to air the footage. To get back at Berg, Mall supposedly started texting the rapper making claims that he was still sleeping with Tucker. MTO reports that Berg found Tucker's phone and confirmed the affair.
