"Why Did I Get Married?" star Tasha Smith has been ordered to stay at least two yards away from her husband of four years, who filed a restraining order against his wife for her alleged abusive behavior.
However, cooperating with the restraining order could be difficult since the couple live in the same household. Keith Douglas, Smith's husband, filed for a protection order after his wife reportedly came home on Nov. 2 and demanded that he leave the house or she will have someone hurt him, according to TMZ.
"[She] pushed me and to avoid any further physical conflicts I left and locked myself in a different room," the report stated. "I called the police in order to find out what to do next, in turn they advised I get a restraining order."
The report also stated that the "Meet The Browns" star often goes into violent drunken rages and has threatened to kill Douglas. In October, the couple went out to eat for Douglas' birthday when the actress became excessively drunk and threatened her husband in front of their children, E! Online reported.
"[She] started threatening me in front of our kids saying she will 'f--k me over' and 'she knows people to take care of me," the statement read, adding that Smith yelled at her husband on their way home and warned him not to 'fall asleep or something will happen.'"
Smith has been ordered to stay at least two yards away from Douglas when they are inside of the home, and 100 yards from him while they are outside of the home.
"I fear for my own life as well as the living environment that our daughter has to see due to excessive amount of arguments we have over the course of the past two years," Douglas said in a statement, according to E! Online.
A representative for Smith has denied the allegations of her alcohol abuse, and called the rumors "ridiculous."
