Jessa Duggar Responds to Sex Scandal Rumors With Uplifting Message (READ POST)

Just one week after getting married, Jessa Duggar and her husband Ben Seewald were attacked with rumors that they consummated their marriage at the church where their nuptials took place.

The "19 Kids and Counting" star took to Instagram to respond to the rumors with a biblical passage about overcoming evil with good. However, the post did not confirm or deny the alleged report.

"Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all," the post read. "If possible, so far it depends on you, live peaceably with all. Beloved, never avenge yourself, but leave it to the wrath of God for it is written, 'Vengeance is mine, I will repay,' says the Lord. To the contrary, 'If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.' (Roman 12: 7-21)."

A wedding guest named Mary B allegedly posted on her blog, "My Life As a Stay at Home Wife and Mom," that the newlyweds were caught in an "act of lust" during their wedding reception.

"Multiple people were discussing that when Jinger opened the door to get Jess for the reception, she immediately closed the door with a look of shock on her face," Mary B wrote in a post that has since been deleted. "I am not sure why they would not wait for the evening to pray and then consummate God's marriage."

"This really made me question Ben's headship and leadership skills. I pray he is not swayed to evil. I pray he acts as strong husband and worship leader to Miss Jessa," she added.

Duggar and Seewald tied the knot at the First Baptist Church in Bentonville, Arkansas, on Nov. 1. For the reception, the couple decided to ditch the traditional wedding cake and served ice cream sundaes instead.

"Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."
