Country Newcomer Jenna Jentry To Wed Video Director John Edde

When country newcomer Jenna Jentry gets married later this month (November), the new couple will, of course, be the main focus of a lot of wedding photos. Jentry's husband-to-be, John Edde, is much more comfortable on the other end of the camera. That's because he's a video director who has directed videos for Big & Rich, The Farm, Jon Pardi, Randy Rogers Band and Jentry.

Yes, you guessed it. Jentry and Edde met on the set of one of her videos. It was the 2012 video for "Lovin' Lazy," which Edde and his twin brother Matt, known professionally as The Edde Brothers, directed. When John's mother and aunt chided him on the way home for not asking Jentry out, he returned to the set and took her to dinner. That sparked a relationship that led to John asking her to marry him.

Earlier this year, Edde surprised Jentry by flying her family from Dallas to his childhood home in Fresno, California. After stepping off the small private plane, Edde dropped to one knee and popped the question. Next came an extended family celebration, culminating in a Napa Valley wine tasting trip.

The wedding is planned for this month in Jentry's hometown of Dallas.

Jentry wrote two songs about her love for Edde on her new self-titled EP, which was produced by Gretchen Wilson of "Redneck Woman" fame.

Jentry wrote "Scared" with Bruce Wallace, but it was John who served as inspiration.

"I fell so hard for him and had never experienced anything like that," she said. "I knew he was the one from the very first date. It's terrifying in the beginning knowing that someone holds the key to your whole heart and soul."

Likewise, "When It Wanders" draws on Jentry's personal experience. "John was all I could think about when we first fell in love," she explained. "I was always in la-la land thinking about him, and the song is a cheerful look at the constant daydream you're in when you find someone special."

The first single from Jentry's EP is "Wise Advice." She continues to perform across the country, opening for The Band Perry, Scotty McCreery and Travis Tritt.
