Country Legend Jim Ed Brown Releases Debut Single From New Album

As a way of celebrating his 51st anniversary as a member of the Grand Ole Opry, Jim Ed Brown has released his first single, "When the Sun Says Hello to the Mountain," from his upcoming "In Style Again" CD. The album is due in stores on Jan. 20, 2015.

"I love new music," Brown said about the new disc. "I guess the whole world does. It's always good to hear a great new song-or a cherished chestnut."

"In Style Again" is Brown's first solo studio album in almost three decades. The album showcases country traditionalism and highlights Jim Ed's signature smooth vocals.

"In Style Again" features appearances by Vince Gill ("Tried And True") and The Whites ("You Again"), plus a reunion with longtime duet partner Helen Cornelius ("Don't Let Me Cross Over"). The title track was produced by Brown's close friend and Country Music Hall of Famer Bobby Bare, while the balance of the 13-track offering was produced by Don Cusic.

Jim Ed's past recording partnership with sisters Bonnie and Maxine earned them hits with "I Heard The Bluebirds Sing," "Scarlet Ribbons," and the 1959 million-selling "The Three Bells." As a solo artist, he had hits like the iconic "Pop A Top," "Southern Loving," and "Morning." As part of the CMA Award-winning duo with Helen Cornelius, Brown racked up more hits with "I Don't Want To Have To Marry You" and "Lying In Love With You."
