A 20-year-old man named Vaibhev Loomba was found dead at a University of California at Berkeley fraternity house early Sunday morning, KRCA reported.

He went to school at UC Davis and resided in Lafayette, his Facebook profile said.

Loomba was found unresponsive by police at Zeta Psi fraternity around noon on Sunday, but it's not clear yet what killed him. He was declared dead at the scene.

Loomba was not a UC Berkeley student and was not a member of the fraternity, Lt. Ed Spiller said. The fraternity held a large party the night before.

Detectives haven't ruled out the possibility of homicide and are investigating what happened, according to the Daily News. He did not have any suspicious marks on his body and have not decided whether drugs or alcohol were a factor.

"The thing about it is, typically when you get someone who's older, the death could be natural causes," Lt. Andrew Taeaver told the Los Angeles Times. "The fact that this person is younger, that's something to have investigated."

Many of the man's over 1,000 Facebook friends were expressing their grief and heartbreak following the news of his death.

"One of the greatest guys I may ever know," Aidan Maguire wrote on Facebook. "Always making me laugh and radiating positivity wherever he went. May he rest in peace and be forever remembered."

The frat isn't recognized by UC Berkeley after it violated many risk management, life safety and fire and social codes.
