Instagram released two major updates to the popular photo-sharing app Monday - users can now edit captions after a picture was posted and find new people to follow much easier.

The new Instagram update lets users who fell victim to autocorrect go back in and edit the caption instead of living with the typo under the picture or needing to delete the picture and re-upload and re-write the caption all over again.

"When you share a moment to Instagram, a typo shouldn't get in the way. This has been one of the top requests that we've heard from the community, and we're excited to finally bring it to you today [Nov. 10]," Instagram Blog reported.

Changing the caption is simple - to edit the caption tap the "..." icon beneath the photo or video, tap "edit," then type in the new caption and tap done.

The update also brought changes to the Explore page, which according to Wired is used by 40 percent of Instagram users daily.

The Explore page (that now is found behind a magnifying glass icon at the bottom of the screen) makes it faster to find people you want to follow. The page now has a "People" tab at the top, which shows you suggested people to follow along with three pictures they have posted - giving you a preview of what their page is like without actually clicking on their profile.

The photos tab in Explore remains the same.

Instagram users had mixed emotions and discussed them on Twitter.

"You can now edit your post!! I'm so excited about this update. I'm Typo Queen. Finally," writes Twitter user @BeautyBuzzMedia.

Others weren't as welcoming to the new changes. Several users were comparing the new update to older versions and called it "ugly" and comparable to an Android device.
