Rapper Big Hank Hank (real name Henry Jackson) died on Tuesday, Nov. 10 at the age of 57, according to CNN. The Sugarhill Gang rapper passed in Englewood, N.J., from complications from cancer, the group's manager David Mallie said.

According to CNN, the two surviving members Wonder Mike and Master Gee released a statement Tuesday afternoon saying, "So sad to hear about our brother's passing. The 3 of us created musical history together with the release of Rapper's Delight. We will always remember traveling the world together and rocking the house. Rest in peace Big Bank."

Sugarhill Gang was best known for their song "Rapper's Delight," which became the first rap song to land on the Top 40 chart on Billboard. The song was released in 1979 and became an instant hit.
