Tito Ortiz, Stephan Bonnar Pass Random Drug Tests for Bellator 131 Fight

MMA fans looking forward to Bellator 131 will be happy to hear that Tito Ortiz and Stephan Bonnar recently passed random drug tests, which means the fight is still a go.

The results were confirmed by Andy Foster, executive director of the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC), who said the commission was responsible for administering the urine tests, according to MMA Fighting.

Bonnar will be making his Bellator debut in his bout with Ortiz, which is also his first fight since retiring over two years ago. Ortiz won his first Bellator fight in May, defeating Alexander Shlemenko via submission, and ended a three-fight losing streak.

The tests follow Ortiz recently stating that he is getting information about Bonnar's training from his former wrestling coach, who is currently helping Bonnar prepare for the fight, Bloody Elbow reported.

"And now it's a week out from the fight. I know how his training camp went. I know the ins and outs. So he just got baited," Ortiz said. "That's how bad I want to cave his face in."

Bonnar has failed two drug tests involving steroids in his entire MMA career, according to MMA Fighting. Foster said the 37-year-old passed two random urine tests for the fight, while Ortiz, 39, passed one.

The rivals will battle each other in the main event of Bellator 131, which will take place Saturday, Nov. 15, in San Diego, California, and will air live on Spike TV.
