India won the first three ODIs of the series, with their latest victory coming Saturday in a six-wicket win. Shikhar Dhawan led the team with 91 runs, and skipper Virat Kohli added 53 runs. On the bowling front, Umesh Yadav recorded nine outs and took four wickets, and Akshar Patel recorded 10 outs and took three wickets.
"I am focusing on every single game. Taking each game at a time because I know that a good performance in each game will take me that much closer to securing a World Cup berth," Yadav said, via CricBuzz.com
Despite India winning the third ODI, Sri Lanka's Mahela Jayawardene earned the Man of the Match award for his performance, which included scoring 118 runs, and Tillakaratne Dilshan added 53 runs. The Sri Lankan bowlers struggled to take wickets, though, and managed to take only three.
While the series is already out of their hands, Sri Lanka will still be playing for pride on Wednesday and looking to avoid falling to 0-4 in the series.
"We have to be ruthless ourselves. We need to step up and play for our pride," Jayawardene said. "We have fresh guys coming in. It is tough playing India, but if we put our heads together we have the game."
