"The Missing," a new drama/thriller limited series, centers on the nearly decade-long search for a missing 5-year-old boy named Oliver Hughes, who disappears while on vacation with his parents in France.
Oliver's father, Tony (played by James Nesbitt), is desperate to find his son, and the narrative of the show focuses on his obsessive thoughts to solve the case and figure out what led up to his son's disappearance.
"The Missing" portrays two time frames simultaneously in order to provide context and illustrate the chronology of events for the viewer...or possibly, to confuse them, but we will see.
Tony's wife, Emily (played by Frances O'Connor), has been affected by the loss of her son as well, but in more ways than one - her marriage with Tony is also suffering.
With the help of a detective, Tony and Emily embark on a mission to locate Oliver, but the search proves to be exhausting, and could potentially ruin both of their lives, severing relationships along the way.
This drama-filled 8-episode series will leave you unintentionally trying to piece together the puzzle as you watch.
Want to see if they can crack the case and be reunited with their son?
"The Missing" will premiere on Nov. 15, at 9 p.m. on Starz.
