2014 has been a really good year for filmmaker Eric Welch.
Earlier in this summer, Welch received one of country music's most prestigious awards, the 2014 CMT Music Video of the Year Award for Carrie Underwood's hit single, "See You Again." The video now has almost 15 million views on YouTube.

As this summer came to a close, Welch's work earned a trio of 2014 Dove Award nominations in the Short Form Music Video of the Year category. The nominations include directing TobyMac's "Speak Life," "American Idol" alum Colton Dixon's "Never Gone" and Mandisa's "Overcomer." The "Overcomer" video featured Robin Roberts of "Good Morning America," Congresswoman Gabby Giffords, Olympic Gold Medalist Scott Hamilton and "Biggest Loser" winner Hannah Curlee.
Since launching the company in 1997, Welch has directed hundreds of music videos and worked with some of today's leading artists across multiple genres of country, pop and Christian music formats. He's helmed videos for Carrie Underwood, Hank Williams Jr., Kid Rock, Tim McGraw, TobyMac,Ben Folds, Lifehouse, Lee Brice, Jars of Clay and 3 Doors Down, to name a few.
Before moving to Nashville, Welch, a Southwest Kansas native, worked in advertising and originally broke into the music world when editing DC Talk's live concert video "Welcome to the Freakshow." In the wake of that project, Welch formed Broken Poet Productions and based his company in Nashville. There he worked with artists including Brad Paisley, TobyMac, Randy Houser, Vince Gill, Rodney Crowell, Mercy Me, Dolly Parton and Lady Antebellum.
