Actor and alleged pedophile Stephen Collins was set for his divorce trial until it was delayed because his estranged wife's lawyer quit.
The trial was set to start on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m., but hours before, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Scott Gordon granted a motion by the attorney for Faye Grant to postpone, according to Hollywood Reporter.
Another judge granted a continuance to allow Grant to find new representation, according to Fox 411. The attorney reportedly filed a motion stating that he had a conflict, and Gordon acknowledged a breakdown in the attorney-client relationship, according to Fox.
The judge does not believe it was a stalling tactic, according to Hollywood Reporter.
The divorce is now in its 33rd month, according to Hollywood Reporter, and the couple was supposed to start an 8-day trial to discuss division of assets estimated at $12 million, according to Hollywood Reporter. Grant has been receiving $13,000 a month in spousal support, but one has to wonder what that amount will be since Collins lost movie roles and Hollywood representation after allegations of sexual child abuse.
The divorce trial date has been rescheduled for Jan. 5.
