Simon Cowell Gets Hit with Eggs as Disgruntled Musician Storms the Stage on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ (VIDEO)

Simon Cowell was in for a big and messy surprise on the season finale of "Britain's Got Talent" as a disgruntled violist pelted the judge with eggs.

The incident happened on live TV as Richard and Adam Johnson, a brotherly opera group, sung their final performance on the talent competition show. Towards the end of their performance a woman emerged from backstage, walked right between the two boys and calmly began throwing eggs at Cowell before being carted off by security.

According to Reuters, the woman was identified as 30-year-old Natalie Holt, was a "member of the brothers' backing group." Last year she competed in the talent show along with her string ensemble Raven Quartet but did not gain that much success.

After being carried off stage, the police were called but the show's producers decided not to press any charges. She did release an apology to Richard and Adam Johnson for interrupting their performance calling her stunt "a silly thing to do."

"I want to apologize to Richard and Adam for overshadowing their performance," she told The Telegraph. "I've never done anything like this before and in hindsight I have realized it was a silly thing to do."

She did not however feel bad about pelting Cowell with eggs.

"I basically took a stand against people miming on television and against Simon and his dreadful influence on the music industry," she said.

Cowell appeared unfazed by the incident. After the Johnson brothers finished performing he slipped out of his jacket and the talent show continued like nothing happened. Cowell did address the incident on Twitter posting "I really don't like eggs" and then later posting another tweet saying that eggs should not be allowed on talent shows.

The Johnson brothers ultimately finished in third place with British teenage comedian Jack Carroll in second place and the Hungarian shadow theater group, Attraction, taking the first place spot.
