Facebook Introduces Video Cards to 'Say Thanks' to Friends and Family

Facebook launched a new video generator Wednesday that lets you show your appreciation for your loved ones.

The "Say Thanks" tool, which arrived just in time for Thanksgiving, comes in the form of a video card that you can send to your friends' page on the website, according to PC Magazine.

All you have to do is go to the "Say Thanks" page and pick the friend you want to thank. After choosing one of four different themes, as well as the posts and photos that fit your friend, Facebook will present a preview of what your card will look like before you send it.

The video card will appear in your timeline, as well as your friend's after you send it, Digital Trends reported.

"Your friends are at the core of your Facebook experience, and we are always looking for new ways to help you celebrate those friendships," Facebook Design Manager Cameron Ewing and Engineering Manager Nick Kwiatek wrote in a blog post.

Users will also be able to write a personalized message before sending their video cards, in case they want to make their friends feel extra special, according to PC Magazine. Ewing and Kwiatek said users can create and share as many video cards as they want.

"Say Thanks" is available now around the world on mobile and desktop in eight different languages: English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, German, Italian, Turkish and Indonesian.

"Share a Say Thanks video with a close friend, your significant other, a relative, a coworker, an old friend- or anyone else in your life who you'd like to celebrate," Ewing and Kwiatek wrote.
