An tiger hunt is currently going on near Disneyland, Paris involving about 60 police.
A young tiger was first seen walking along the brush behind tennis courts and a soccer field located about 5 1/2 miles from Disneyland Paris, reported The Associated Press.
The feline was spotted by a woman who took a picture from her car, BBC reported.
There are about 60 police, fire and security forces on the scene and they are urging the people in the three surrounding towns - Montévrain , Chessy and Chalifert - to stay indoors.
A muddy footprint that the tiger left behind was examined and showed the animal weighs about 154 pounds and is 1 1/2-years-old, Clement Joly, a Montevrain spokesman, said.
Authorities roped off a security perimeter and will continue searching throughout the night with additional helicopters, AP reports.
The tiger is believed to be domesticated, according to reports Montévrain Mayor Christian Robache to CNN after speaking with authorities.
The biggest mystery is where the tiger came from in the first place.
The Park des Felins, a wild cat animal park about 18 miles from Montévrain, said they weren't missing any animals. Disneyland Paris also claimed they weren't responsible, as they don't have any tigers in their theme park, AP reported.
