The International Ski Federation (FIS) has found multiple "violations" in Thailand skier Vanessa-Mae's results from an event in Slovenia, BBC reports.
Mae, 36, qualified just days prior to the deadline after competing in the rushed races in January. Five officials involved in the shady event have also been banned by the FIS.
The event in Slovenia was put together at the request of Mae's management, through the Thai Olympic Committee. Mae, competing under the name Vanessa Vanakorn, finished last of 67 racers and 50 seconds behind winner Tina Maze, at the giant slalom at the Sochi Games.
"The hearing panel found to its comfortable satisfaction that the results of the four ladies' giant slalom races that took place on 18 and 19 January at Krvavec were manipulated," the FIS said in a statement.
The International Olympic Committee will not follow-up with any additional actions until the outcome of any appeal was known.
Mae is the child of Thai and Chinese parents. She moved to England at the age of four where she garnered fame as a violinist during her childhood. She performed several times on British television before embarking on a successful solo career.
