Deer Doritos Bag: Second Time This Week Fawn Gets Its Head Caught (PHOTO)

A deer in Florida had an unfortunate incident when it came into contact with a delicious bag of Doritos.

The Monroe County sheriff's deputy discovered a deer on the Florida Keys while on patrol Saturday evening. The sheriff took a photo of deer's entire head inside of the Doritos bag, and went to help the fawn when he realized it was breathing heavily into the bag.

According to reports, Sheriff's spokeswoman Becky Herrin said the deer allowed the deputy to remove the bag without a struggle. She also reminded Florida Keys visitors to properly dispose of trash to protect animals from harm.

The fawn was a Key deer, a subspecies of the white-tailed deer that currently reside in Big Pine Key in Florida. According to the National Wildlife Federation, officials have worked to protect the Key deer since 1951, when only about 25 of the animals still survived.

There was another incident of the deer getting its head stuck caught this week.

The Duluth News Tribune on June 8 reported Janet Murphy, a Minnesota women, tried to call 911 to get help for a deer who showed up to her home with a jar covering its head just below the ears. The Department of Natural Resources did not show up to help, according to Murphy.

"I'm just thankful it could get some air in there," told Murphy to the Duluth News Tribune.

Murphy sought help from a volunteer from Wildwoods, a wildlife-rehabilitation organization in Duluth, Minn., who gave her a 10-foot catch-pole to use to help the deer when it came back around. The deer did make its way back to Murphy's residence.

"I came home, and it was lying on the edge of the woods," Murphy said. "I thought, 'Well, I'll try it,'" she said. "I got the catch-pole and started approaching her. She stood up and kind of backed up into some trees. I extended the catch-pole as far as I could. The cable on the catch-pole went around the bucket."

Once the deer was in her grasps, she pooped the jar off its head and it made its way back to the woods.
