Chicago Bears receiver Brandon Marshall challenged a Detroit Lions fan on Twitter to a fight, offering $25,000 for charity.
The fan brought up Marshall's "little brother" comments from last November about the Lions and insulted the receiver's mother. Marshall responded by challenging the fan to step into the ring with him. He initially offered $5,000, and later said that if he lost, he would give $10,000 to charity. If Marshall won, the fan would have to serve 100 hours at an orphanage, according to the nine-year vet.
The Detroit fan then increased the stakes, asking for $25,000 to fight in Detroit.
"@AnthonyGKalla: @BMarshall that's it? Cmon brandy make it 25 and we can do it in Detroit" And you have to apologize to my mom.

After some more back and forth on Twitter, Marshall cooled tensions as their exchange became more publicized.
Looks like people took my boxing match for charity too serious. #chill — Machine Marshall (@BMarshall) November 14, 2014
