Back in 2013, Kenny Chesney and his buddy Eric Church was kickin' butt and taking names all across the country. Chesney had his No Shoes Nation Tour in high gear and Church was sharing in the fun and sharing in the tour billing.
Chesney, an eight-time Entertainer of the Year winner, knows how to put on rockin' stadium shows. So, when he was readying his Big Revival Tour, he thought about Church. He liked his on-stage energy and intensity. He definitely wanted him to be featured in some of the tour's shows.
"There is something about the way Eric connects with my audience that left me feeling like he made the No Shoes Nation Tour something special!" says Chesney, whose sold in excess of a million tickets in each of his headlining tours. He attacks the stage with so much force - and his songs really speak to the people who're fighting the fight to get by - and I love that about what he does onstage."
Church, whose hits include "Give Me Back My Hometown," "Drink In My Hand" and "Springsteen," is quick to say he's ready to hit the road again with Chesney.
"Some of the most fun I've ever had on tour was last summer with Kenny," admits Church. "He's an artist that isn't afraid to let you come full blast and do what you do. It's rare you get to tour with someone you respect and you are friends with. I can't wait to do it again."
