Kenny Chesney just added Cole Swindell and Chase Rice to his 2015 The Big Revival Tour. The country superstar liked the fact that the two performers were also songwriters.
"When I came to town, I was a writer, trying to get my songs cut-and playing on a stool down on Lower Broadway," Chesney recalls. "I didn't have nearly the success Cole and Chase are enjoying right now, but I know the difference getting your music in front of an audience makes. For both of these guys, who have a lot of energy and a real way of grabbing people, I think it's the perfect way to get the audience fired up for the show."
Rice first gained attention in country music by co-writing Florida Georgia Line's smash "Cruise." Then his first major label album, "Ignite the Night," debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart. The album delivered the Top 5 "Ready, Set, Roll" and his current single, "Gonna Wanna Tonight."
Georgia native Swindell recently scored back-to-back No. 1 singles with his platinum-selling song "Chillin' It" and gold certified "Hope You Get Lonely Tonight." Both songs are from his self-titled debut album. Swindell wrote Luke Bryan's "Roller Coaster," Thomas Rhett's "Get Me Some of That" and Florida Georgia Line's "This Is How We Roll."
