A shooting at a West Jerusalem synagogue occurred early Tuesday morning, leaving several dead and others wounded.
According to Al Jazeera, five Israelis were killed as well as two Palestinian gunmen. Haaretz reported as many as 10 injured.
Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld told AP the suspected gunmen were killed at the scene, but declined to say how they were killed.
This is a developing story.
Some speculate that the shooting was in response to the death of a Palestinian bus driver late Sunday. The body of Yousef Al-Ramouni, a driver for Israel's Egged cooperative, was found hanging in a bus parked in a terminal in the Har Hotzvim zone.
"There's no suspicion that it was a criminal incident,'' said Rosenfeld, according to The Wall Street Journal. Israeli police officially ruled the hanging a suicide which sparked riots in several Palestinian neighborhoods in Jerusalem.
