Kim Kardashian travels to India for the first time this week, but she should feel right at home when she appears on the country's popular reality show "Bigg Boss."
Kardashian will make an appearance on the Indian version of "Big Brother," according to BBC News. She will join the remaining 12 contestants in the house and appear as a "guest to interact with the contestants," according to a statement by the Colors channel, which broadcasts the show in India.
"Namaste India... main Kim Kardashian aa rahi hoon India... 'Bigg Boss' ke ghar mein," the 34-year-old reality TV star said in the statement, which translates to, "Hello India, I am Kim Kardashian and I'm coming to the 'Bigg Boss' house."
Pamela Anderson and the late reality TV star Jade Goody, who appeared on the UK "Big Brother" in 2002, also have made guest appearances on the "Bigg Boss." Kardashian is expected to wear a tradition sari on the show, according to The Indian Express.
"Bigg Boss" and the Colors channel reportedly shelled out between $900,000 and $1 million for the celebrity appearance. The costs include Kardashian's appearance fee, travel and accommodation expenses, security and other miscellaneous expenses, according to Business of Cinema.
The show premiered its eighth season last month and contestants include models and TV actors. Bollywood star Salman Khan host the show.
Kardashian will appear on the show on Saturday, Nov. 22. She's on her world tour to promote her new fragrance Fleur Fatale.
