Casey Kasem Still Not Buried, Body Rotting in Norway Mortuary as Bitter Family Feud Continues?

Radio legend Casey Kasem's body still hasn't been buried even though he died in June. According to Radar Online, court documents filed by his children revealed that the DJ's body is rotting in a Norway mortuary.

After Kasem's death, his wife Jean Kasem had the body moved from Seattle to Norway - with a pit-stop in Canada - but never had the body embalmed. Jean and Kasem's children have been fighting over where to bury the body. The children want the body returned to Los Angeles, while Jean is fighting to keep it in Norway.

According to the documents, the "American Top 40" host has been in an "un-embalmed state" and "continued to decompose as Jean Kasem kept the body unrefrigerated." Radar reports that the children believe Jean is trying to postpone a burial because she doesn't want to be investigated for elderly abuse. In the documents, they argued that the deterioration of the body will prevent an autopsy from being performed on Kasem.

"I don't think Jean Kasem cares one of iota for him - living or dead," said Logan Clarke, an investigator hired by the Kasem children. "It is as if all this woman cares about is keeping his body from his children."

According to Radar, Jean has legal rights over Kasem's body but her step-daughter Kerri wants to courts to reverse the decision. Last week, TMZ reported that Jean and the kids were also feuding over the DJ's hefty life insurance check.

Reportedly, he left behind $2 million which both parties are trying to claim. MetLife filed a lawsuit telling a judge that it wasn't sure who deserved to get the check. TMZ claims the insurance company is afraid of handing the money over to the wrong person and then having to pay out a second time. Instead, MetLife wants the court to decide who should claim the money.

A lawyer representing Kasem's children told the court that Jean should not be able to inherit the money because she "basically killed Casey by neglecting him" while he was sick, TMZ reports.
