Assassin's Creed 4 Release Date: Ubisoft Announces Exclusive PS3 and PS4 Content for 'Assassin's Creed' and 'Watch Dogs' (VIDEO)

Ubisoft revealed at the E3 Expo on Tuesday exclusive content and gameplay on the Sony PlayStation 3 (PS3) and PlayStation 4 (PS4) for "Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag" and "Watch_Dogs."

"Expanding our partnership with Sony Computer Entertainment allows us to offer PlayStation gamers even more substance to games that are already rich with content," said Tony Key, senior vice president of sales and marketing, Ubisoft in a press release. "Regardless of which PlayStation console 'Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag' and 'Watch_Dogs' are played on, PlayStation gamers will be treated to exclusives that will add to their gameplay experiences."

"Assassin's Creed" will take place during the "Golden Age of Pirates" following the story of Edward Kenway on his high seas adventures. Exclusive gameplay footage of "Assassin's Creed IV" revealed the return of Aveline, the series first leading female assassin, in three missions for PS3 and PS4.

"Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag" will be released for the PS3 on Oct. 29 and on the PS4 system later this year.

Ubisoft's "Watch_Dogs" will give PS3 and PS4 players four exclusive missions centered on a faction fighting for freedom. Vigilante Aiden Pearce will help the crew get revenge against a Chicago tech mogul. Players will unlock an exclusive suit for Aiden Pearce after completing the four missions.

"Watch_Dogs" arrives on store shelves Nov. 19 on the PS3 and on the PS4 later this year.

"Ubisoft is no stranger to pushing the boundaries of play, and that is why we are expanding our partnership with PlayStation to bring PlayStation fans one-of-a-kind content for two of the year's most anticipated games, 'Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag' and 'Watch_Dogs,'" said Adam Boyes, Vice President, Publisher and Developer Relations, Sony Computer Entertainment in the press release. "With an hour of exclusive gameplay for each title, yet again we are blazing new trails by providing more unique experiences that can only be found on PlayStation."
