Australia and South Africa have alternated wins heading into the fourth ODI, with Australia win on Tuesday by 73 runs. Steven Smith earned the Man of the Match award for his performance, which included scoring 73 runs (not out). He was helped out by a strong offensive performance from his teammates, including Aaron Finch's 109 runs and David Warner's 53.

"It's a real positive when you have guys challenging for spots, because it's driving you to perform well," Finch said, via CricBuzz.com.

On the bowling front, Mitchell Starc recorded eight outs and took four wickets, and Josh Hazlewood had 9.3 outs and three wickets.

South Africa, meanwhile, failed to get much going behind Hashim Amla's team-high 102 runs and skipper AB de Villiers's 52 runs. Their bowlers struggled for most of the game, managing to take only a total of five wickets.

"There were small basics that we got wrong which cost us the game today," de Villiers conceded.
