Congratulations to actor Sean Hayes who is officially a married man.

The "Will and Grace" actor married his longtime partner Scott Icenogle in a secret ceremony last week. The actor revealed on Facebook and Twitter on Thursday that he swapped vows with his love of eight years.

"Here's a #TBT photo of Scotty and me getting married last week. Took us 8 years but we did it!" he wrote, along with posting an adorable wedding picture of the newlyweds on their special day.

Haynes, 44, publicly came out as gay man during a 2010 interview with The Advocate, revealing that he finally felt comfortable and content with his life. The actor's outing came more than 14 years after the debut of "Will & Grace," where he played an openly gay character named Jack McFarland for eight seasons.

"I spend time with a special someone in my life," he said without naming his partner. "That's it. That's all I need. I don't need events. I don't do a lot. I live my life like an 85-year-old man. I'm just quiet. It's fantastic."

In a 2013 interview with the Los Angles Times, the actor was asked why he did not come out sooner, especially during his time on NBC's "Will and Grace."

"I was so young," Hayes said. "It made me go back in the closet [with the media] because I was so overwhelmed at 26 or 27. I didn't want the responsibility, I didn't know how to handle the responsibility of speaking for the gay community. I always felt like I owed them a huge apology for coming out too late.

"Some people in the gay community were very upset with me for not coming out on their terms. They don't stop to think about what's going on in somebody's personal life, and the struggles that they're having. It was all very scary. We got death threats. It was a really rough time for me, but I was also having the time of my life."
