A Thailand cinema chain pulled the latest "Hunger Games" screening from their venue after three people were arrested for using the same three-finger salute as seen during General Prayuth Chan-ocha's, the military-appointed prime minister, speech.
The same three-finger salute was used in May as a symbol of protest in the wake of Thailand's military coup, reported Reuters.
"The Hunger Games: Mocking Jay - Part 1" was removed from two cinemas in Bangkok's Siam Square district just hours after the arrest by the Apex Group, which operates the cinemas.
The latest installment in the "Hunger Games" franchise was replaced with Woody Allen's "Magic in the Moonlight."
Although the decision occurred after the three arrests were made in connection to the "Hunger Games" salute, Apex claims the two events were not directly related, reported Reuters.
The group also said they made their decision to remove the movie because the screens were "being used for political activism," reported Reuters.
