Italy and Haiti meet for their last friendly before the upcoming 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup. Italy will use Tuesday as a final tune-up to tweak rosters and strategy before beginning the Confederations Cup tournament next week, starting with Group A rivals Mexico on June 16, Soccerway reports.
Italy hasn't dropped any of its last five games, but they do hope to improve upon their 0-0 draw with the Czech Republic on Friday during their World Cup qualifier. Mario Balotelli and Andrea Pirlo both headline the Italian national squad going after the Confederation Cup.
Haiti, meanwhile, improve across the board during Tuesday's friendly. The team nearly came away with an upset victory on Sunday over Spain, losing by one goal.
Haiti and Italy have met just once. Their only meeting, during the 1974 World Cup, saw Italy win, 3-1.
