The Temple Owls play the Duke Blue Devils on Friday in the 2014 Coaches vs. Cancer Classic in Brooklyn. Tipoff is at 9:30 p.m. ET. Listen to the radio broadcast via the links provided below.
Duke is 3-0 so far, with two blowout wins over unranked opponents and a comfortable 81-71 win on Tuesday against Michigan State. Senior Quinn Cook recorded 19 points and six assists, and freshmen Tyus Jones , Justise Winslow and Jahlil Okafor all scored in the double digits - 17, 15 and 17 points, respectively.
"I really thought the play of Quinn, his leadership throughout the game, was a huge factor for us," Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski said, via ESPN. "Quinn's presence was really, really big for us. He and Tyus have developed a great relationship, then Tyus took off in the second half."
Cook, meanwhile, wasn't shy about expressing his happiness with how Duke's three freshmen - Okafor, Winslow and Jones - have played so far.
"I'm extremely happy with the three freshmen," he said. "For it to be their first big-time game, to play like that, that just says wonders about those guys. We got to move on and get ready for Temple on Friday."
The Blue Devils have a title-caliber team with veteran experience -Cook's 16.7 points per game - and pure talent - freshmen Jones's 12.7 points and 5.3 assists per game, and Okafor's 17.7 points and 6.7 rebounds per game - that makes Duke an early favorite to reach the Final Four.
"They're basically a team without any weaknesses, and then they have a terrific mentality on the defensive end as well," said Temple coach Fran Dunphy. "They're angry when you score against them. They take it very personally. We need to do everything we need to do a little better than we've ever done."
Temple is 2-0 after wins over American University and Louisiana Tech.
