Man Who Allegedly Shoved Man In Front Of Train Says He Doesn't Remember Attack

The alleged "subway pusher" that killed a Bronx man in front of an oncoming D train while his wife watched has said he has no recollection of the crime, the New York Post reported on Sunday.

"I would never do anything like that," Kevin Darden said. "I don't remember anything about [last] Sunday, I didn't do anything."

Wai Kuen Kwok was killed when he was struck was the train at an East 167th subway station in Highbridge on Nov. 16, and Darden is accused of pushing him. Kwok and his wife were heading to Chinatown to go grocery shopping.

Out of nowhere, he allegedly pushed the Chinese immigrant in front of the train as it pulled into the station in front of his wife, Yow Ho Lee. Darden then jumped onto a city bus and was spotting smoking a cigarette later on surveillance video.

"I don't know what to do or say; I've never been in this type of situation before," Darden said.

But Darden has over 30 prior arrests on his record for crimes including assault, drugs, robbery and trying to set his brother's house on fire. He's also being eyed in a previous attack, where he pushed another man to the ground causing injuries, the Daily Mail reported.

"The victim was transported to an NYU Medical Center where he was treated and released," according to the report of the previous attack.

After allegedly pickpocketing someone in Manhattan, he was arrested on Nov. 9. It was his most recent arrest.

Darden is being closely monitored by psychiatrists at Rikers Island, where he is being held.
