Villanova is 3-0 after their 72-65 win on Thursday against Bucknell. It was a close win, but coach Jay Wright was admittedly happy to escape his alma mater with the victory.

"I would much rather b in a game like this, now that it's over," he said, via ESPN. "Going into the game, I wanted it to be a 30-point game. But this is good for us."

Although the Wildcats got the win, their offense was inefficient, shooting just 38.9 percent from the field. Defense has been a key reason Villanova is undefeated, thanks in part to the team's experienced roster.

"We have a lot of experienced guys on our squad this year," said junior forward Daniel Ochefu, via ESPN. "Everyone is comfortable. We make it tough on ourselves in practice. So when we get to the game we just try to translate that."

Ochefu has been a nightmare in the paint, averaging 9.3 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game. Offensively, junior guard Dylan Ennis leads the team with 15.0 points on 48.3 percent shooting per game.

VCU is also 3-0 after a 106-66 blowout on Thursday against Maryland Eastern Shore. The offense has flowed through guards Melvin Johnson and Treveon Graham, both of who are averaging at least 18 points per game - Johnson with 18.3 points per game and Graham with 18.0. Behind the efforts of Johnson and Graham, VCU is one of the highest-scoring teams in the nation, according to ESPN.
