Justin Bieber Tops Forbes’ Highest-Earning Celebrities Under 30 List

Justin Bieber last toured and released a fresh album at the end of 2013. He spent most of 2014 fighting multiple legal battles in several states and countries as well as trying to rekindle his tumultuous relationship with Selena Gomez.

Between all that, Bieber still managed to top Forbes' 2014 Highest-Earning Celebrities Under 30 list. He earned an estimated $80 million between June 2013 and 2014, most of that coming from the tail end of his tour, according to Forbes.

Bieber outpaced a list dominated by musicians. The solo artist earned $5 million more than the boy band group One Direction, who placed second on the list. The young men of the U.K. celebrated the past year with their third studio album "Midnight Memories" that premiered at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

Following them, Taylor Swift holds the honor as the highest-paid female celebrity on the list. The 24-year-old performer earned an estimated $64 million, a total she's sure to beat next year. Her album "1989" went platinum in its first week and Swift will kick off her world tour to promote the album starting May in Japan.

Bruno Mars and Rihanna rounded out the top five. The 28-year-old Mars earned $60 million thanks to his performance at the 2014 Super Bowl halftime show, which helped boost in his "Unorthodox Jukebox" album sales. The 26-year-old Rihanna brought in $48 million with hit songs like "We Found Love" and powerful collaborations with Jay-Z and Eminem.

Jennifer Lawrence represents the only non-singer in the top 10. She ranked number seven with an estimated earnings of $34 million. The 24-year-old Oscar-winning actress was firing on all cylinders in each of her three films over the last year including "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire," "American Hustle" and "X-Men Days of Future Past."

Forbes calculates each performer's total earnings based on entertainment-related income and does "not deduct for taxes, management fees or the other costs of being a celebrity."
