Two teens were arrested Friday for using Facebook to run a prostitution ring in her Florida high school.
The alleged 17-year-old ringleader from Sarasota High School was apparently charging people $50-$70 for oral sex and $100 to have sex with a virgin, according to police. A 15-year-old boy who formerly went to the same high school is also connected with leading the ring.
The investigation began in Venice, Fla. after four students from Venice high school got wind of a Facebook page used for the prostitution ring and reported it.
A Facebook post on the page used for the prostitution ring reads: "Why pimp out old hoes when I have fresh young hoes I can give up for money?" the Sarasota High student wrote in one Facebook exchange to a business partner, adding, "As long as I'm getting paid I'm trafficking all these (expletive deleted)."
John Mosher, 21, was also arrested in connection to the crime, as he used the prostitution ring to connect with a 15-year-old girl who he bought sex from for $40 and a bottle of alcohol, reported local news channel WTSP.
"That's awful that she would do that at all and for what? money and alcohol? She is not even old enough to drink!" Emily Smith, a student from the high school, said to USA Today.
"That's disgusting to think someone, a girl, would set that all up to hurt other kids," Brian Johnson, another student from the school, said to WTSP.
The investigation is ongoing.
