Google Updates Shopping App to Make Holiday Shopping Easier

Google is looking to make holiday shopping easier with a new update to its Shopping app.

Mobile features are the main focus of the update, as the app now lets people better use their smartphones and tablets to find and purchase items online instantly, according to Maine News.

You will not only be able to see details about items you're looking to get on Black Friday, but details about stocking for certain products. Related reviews from customers will also be available to help you make better shopping decisions.

Google said as of this weekend that 27 percent of shoppers have already started going online to find the best Black Friday deals, PC Magazine reported.

"This coming weekend, expect to see many of your fellow shoppers checking for deals on their smartphones while braving the lines and crowds at the mall," Jennifer Liu, product manager for Google Shopping, wrote in a blog post Sunday. "Nearly 50 percent of 25 to 34 year-olds use their phone to shop online while standing in line at a store."

With Black Friday only two days away, Google Shopping will come in handy when looking for the best deals for holiday gifts.
