Some of gospel's biggest superstars are honoring Grammy-winning gospel music legend Andraé Crouch with a special tour. The "Let the Church Say Amen" Celebration Tour, featuring top gospel acts such as CeCe Winans, Marvin Winans, Israel Houghton, Marvin Sapp, Rance Allen and jazz artist Gerald Albright, kicks off nationwide on Dec. 6.
The "Let the Church Say Amen" Celebration Tour will make stops in 10 major markets in its initial run-- Philadelphia, Washington, Richmond, Birmingham, Atlanta, Charlotte, Orlando, Tampa, Miami and New Orleans. Additional dates are expected to be announced soon.
The tour pays homage to Crouch's illustrious career that spans over five decades. With seven Grammy Awards, six GMA Dove Awards and an Academy Award nomination for "The Color Purple," Crouch is a member of the Gospel Music Hall of Fame and has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
His songs have been recorded by everyone from Elvis Presley to Paul Simon, and he has worked as a producer and arranger with many of music's top artists, including Michael Jackson, Madonna, Quincy Jones, Diana Ross, Elton John. Crouch can also be heard on Michael Jackson's hit singles "Man in the Mirror," "Keep the Faith," "Will You Be There" and "Earth Song."
