Ferguson: Two FBI Agents Shot In St. Louis, Suspect Dead

Two FBI agents were shot in a house in St. Louis County, with the suspect being found dead nearby in an incident not related to unrest in Ferguson, Yahoo News reported.

The two were trying to arrest Major Washington, 33, when they were shot in the shoulder and leg, respectfully. Washington was a suspect in the death of his mother and the shooting of another police officer, according to the University City Police Department.

On Tuesday, authorities found out that he was armed and had barricaded himself inside a house in St. Louis county.

"The suspect is deceased," the University City police statement said, and didn't provide other details on how he died.

The incident happened the day after protests over the news that Darren Wilson will not face a grand jury after killing unarmed black teenager Michael Brown in August.

FBI spokeswoman Rebecca Wu said the agent's lives aren't in danger following their injuries.

"The incident is not directly related to the Ferguson protests," Wu said, according to Reuters.
