Ferguson Protesters Threaten to Bomb St. Louis Gateway Arch, Police Say

Two men who allegedly planned to bomb St. Louis' Gateway Arch have been arrested on federal weapons charges, USA Today reported.

The men were identified as Brandon Baldwin and Olajuwon Davis, and they also allegedly planned to kill St. Louis County Prosecutor Attorney Bob McCulloch and Ferguson Police Chief Tom Jackson.

The men are also being accused of giving false information and buying guns from a Cabellas in Hazelwood, Missouri.

According to court documents, between November 1-13, Baldwin claimed to be buying two Hi-Point .45-caliber pistols for himself, when he was actually purchasing them for another person. Baldwin's other name is Brandon Muhammad and his lawyer says Davis now goes by the last name Ali, News.com.au reported.

Davis and Baldwin were taken into custody on Nov. 20.

Sources said that the men had been being watched for months because they were aggressively looking for explosives, according to KSDK.

Federal agents warned Chief Jackson about a plot, but was not given a lot of detail.
