There's some new information rolling in about the still-untitled spinoff of "The Walking Dead" but we're taking the information with a grain of salt. According to The Spoiling Dead's Facebook page, AMC has reportedly been sending out casting call notices for the new series.
COMPANY:
Casting extras and principal roles for AMC TV series "Walking dead"

AMC Networks:
Frank Darabont and Gale Anne Hurd, exec prod
PRODUCTION DESCRIPTION:
The Walking dead, based on the comic book series written by Robert Kirkman and published by Image Comics, tells the story of the months and years that follow after a zombie apocalypse. It follows a group of survivors, led by police officer Rick Grimes, who travel in search of a safe and secure home. The comic goes on to explore the challenges of life in a world overrun by zombies who take a toll on the survivors, and sometimes the interpersonal conflicts present a greater danger to their continuing survival than the zombies that roam the country. Over time, the characters are changed by the constant exposure to death and some grow willing to do anything to survive.
REHEARSAL AND PRODUCTION DATES:
Shoots Mid December
Shooting locations; Pennsylvania
Some fans believe the casting call is a scam and urged people not to send in their information. While we're still waiting for a confirmation from AMC, we'll give you some information that we know is legit. Back in September the network revealed descriptions for the six main characters.
Sean Cabrera: a Latino male in his early 40s who is "a good man trying to do right by everyone in his life." Sean sounds like the show's protagonist and could be similar to Rick Grimes.
Cody Cabrera: Sean's teenage son who is known as the "angriest kid in town." Cody is really smart but rebellious.
Nancy Tompkins: a 30-something single mom of two. She is described as the girl-next-door type but with an edge.
Nick Tompkins: Nancy's "screwed up teenage son" who is too old to still be living with his mother but is too scared to leave
Ashley Tompkins: Nancy's teenage daughter who is the complete opposite of her older brother. Described as "mostly level-headed" and has "ambitions in direct proportion to her older brother's failures. She loves her mom but it's time to get out of dodge."
Andrea Chapman: a 40-something "somewhat wilted flower child" who escaped to the outskirts of the city to recover from a bad marriage.
