As has become usual between these two teams, Saturday's Iron Bowl will national title implications. In addition to wanting a shot at the title, Alabama likely wants revenge after last year's embarrassing "Kick-Six" loss to Auburn at the bowl game.

"It shows up on the TV every now and again, and it breaks out heart every time," said Alabama safety Landon Collins, via the Associated Press. "In one second they took our whole chance away of winning anything, and definitely it rewinds in my head. Definitely it will rewind in my head constantly throughout this week."

Alabama linebacker Reggie Ragland wasn't shy about expressing what this game meant to both teams.

"It's the biggest college rivalry in history, so of course you're going to want to have fun and do the things you've got to do to prepare for it," he said.

Alabama (10-1) suffered their only defeat of the season on Oct. 4 against Ole Miss, 23-17. They've since strung together six straight wins, including last week's 48-14 blowout of Western Carolina.

Auburn is 8-3 after a rocky finish to the season, but they've been waiting for their chance to make it two straight over Alabama in the Iron Bowl.

"When you play a game like the Iron Bowl, it's always in the back of your mind," Auburn linebacker Kris Frost said. "It's in the back of your mind at the beginning of the season. You don't look past any team, but you know that game means a lot to us obviously being the biggest rivalry in the country."

The Tigers snapped their two-game losing streak with a 31-7 rout of Samford last week.
