The "Breaking Bad" spin-off "Better Call Saul" still has two months until its premeire, but AMC teased fans with a 60-second clip from the prequel series during last night's midseason finale of "The Walking Dead."
The short clip features Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk), known here as Jimmy McGill, trying to enter a parking lot, but an earlier scuffle with the parking attendant seems to make that impossible.
"Breaking Bad" fans will immediately recognize the man in the parking booth as Saul's future fixer, Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks). The two future business associates get off to a bit of a rough start.
AMC will premiere "Better Call Saul" over two nights. The show starts on Sunday, Feb. 8 at 10 p.m. with a second episode airing the next day, Monday, Feb. 9 at 10 p.m.
Odenkirk reprises his role as Saul Goodman in the "Breaking Bad" universe, but six years before he took on Walter White as a client. The first season will have 10 episodes, and AMC already renewed the series for a 13-episode second season.
Banks' character will be one of the few "Breaking Bad" characters incorporated into the new series. Odenkirk encouraged Gilligan and Gould to "make this fresh for everyone," so viewers can distinguish his show from the popular series, starring Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, according to IGN.
"Breaking Bad" creator Vince Gilligan will serve as an executive producer on the new series along with Peter Gould, Mark Johnson and Melissa Bernstein.
