Is Scarlett Johansson officially of the market?
The New York Post Page Six reported that the 30-year-old actress married French journalist Romain Dauriac, 32, in a secret nuptial shortly after welcoming their first child, daughter Rose Dorothy, in September.
A source told the newspaper that the ceremony took place at "a secret location in the U.S., away from the spotlight of Hollywood or Scarlett's hometown of New York," adding that it might have happened "in a remote and natural location, such as Colorado."
"Scarlett and Romain were married in a very intimate ceremony after the birth of their daughter," a source told Page Six. "They kept the wedding a big secret because they both wanted privacy."
Johansson and Dauriac have been dating since 2012 and got engaged in September 2013. At the time, a source told People that the couple "were engaged and very happy."
In October, Romain was spotted wearing a gold ring on the ring finger of his left hand sparking rumors that the couple were husband and wife. In November, the "Avengers" actress was spotted wearing a wedding ring on her left hand at a fundraiser for Hurricane Sandy victims.
"It seems so stressful to not be able to spend time with your family because you're constantly chasing the tail of your own success," she told The Wall Street Journal earlier this year, opening up about balancing work and family life. "There must exist a world in which I can balance those things, be able to raise a family and still make a film a year, or work on my own, develop things, do theater. I want to be able to have it all.
"I know that with that there will be some sacrifices. I know that's the struggle with working mothers and successful careers. It happens."
