West Virginia UPDATE: Four Victims Fatally Shot In Three Separate Locations, Suspect Found Dead (PHOTOS)

UPDATE: Suspect in 4 West Virginia killings found dead of self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to state police.

A manhunt is underway in West Virginia after four people were discovered to have been fatally shot in three separate locations in north-central West Virginia on Monday morning, state police spokesman Lt. Michael Baylous confirmed.

While two of the shootings occurred in the Westover area, the other happened in the Cheat Lake area in Monongalia County, according to CBS affiliate WDTV.

Virginia State Police are searching for 39-year-old Jody Lee Hunt of Westover, W.V., who is believed to be driving a black 2011 Ford F-150 extended cab truck with a blacked out unreadable license plate, an unidentified sticker in the back window and a Black Tonneau cover over the bed, 911 director Mike Wolfe said. The suspect's place of employment is J&J Towing and Repair.

"We ask that everyone stay vigilant and use their discretion about whether they should leave their homes," Wolfe said.

Early Monday morning, Westover authorities responded to an emergency call of a possible shooting at a tow truck business, according to Los Angeles Times. Over there, they found the dead body of an adult male victim.

Two victims from the Cheat Lake shooting have been identified as 39-year-old Sharon Kay Berkshire of Westover and 28-year-old David Frum of Maidsville, Baylous said.

The other two victims were found in the Morgantown area of Monongalia County, W.V., police said.

As a precaution, several schools in Monongalia County have been placed on lockdown, Westover police Sgt. Matthew Starsick, said. However, none of them are believed to be at risk of being targeted.

Additionally, West Virginia University said there was no immediate threat to its campus. "The incident is not associated with WVU nor did it occur on or near campus," the university said in a news release.

Meanwhile, no further information was immediately available. A news conference is scheduled to take place at 4 p.m. local time by Westover police.

Anyone with details about the whereabouts of the truck is asked not to approach it, but to call 911 or the West Virginia State Police.
