The Black Friday sales began days early and the Cyber Monday sales will extend beyond midnight for most online vendors.
Stores like Walmart and Target both have special extended hours for deals. The latter will offer specials all week long. Customers can get deep discounts on Samsung TVs and BOGO deals on Stars Wars or My Little Pony toys.
Walmart introduced a "Cyber Monday: Evening Edition" to allow for "another chance to get cyber deals after work." The retail store will offer its own special on the Samsung 55-inch Ultra HD TV for $998, down from $1500.
Amazon also has sales starting late and ending in the early hours of Tuesday morning. The online retailer has discounted it Amazon Fire TV and all-new Fire HD 7. Some deals stretch to the end of the week and are clearly marked under the product when the sale ends.
Local stores in individual communities also offer special deals on their websites. "Local stores have websites, too, and many of them offer phenomenal deals," Deal Guy Matt Granite told WBIR.
Retailers saw Black Friday sales slip by .5 percent compared to last year. The National Retail Federation didn't expect much better for Cyber Monday and forecasted online shoppers will drop from 131 million people last year to 127 million this year.
Experts have given several reasons for the drop including extended deal days, greater discounts closer to Christmas and the lingering weariness of the economy.
"Moving forward, the Black Friday event itself will become eclipsed by the fact that we have a shopping season that stretches out almost until the holiday," David Jones, a web and mobile performance strategist at Dynatrace, told NBC News.
