Some of the hottest models in the world are taking over London on Tuesday for the annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. According to USA Today, more than 40 supermodels (referred to as "Angels") have traveled from all over the globe to prepare for the sexiest runway show of the year.
Veterans like Adriana Lima and Alessandro Ambrosio spent hours in hair and makeup so they can tape the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. It airs next Tuesday, Dec. 9, on CBS.
"It's about having a good time," model Barbara Fialho told USA Today. "Deep breaths are what I am taking. It's my third year, so I'm a little more relaxed than I was in my first year."
This is the first time the show has traveled across the pond to London. Usually it's held in New York but the show's executive producer Monica Mitro told USA Today that they "wanted to do something bigger and better this year."
"[In London], we're upping our game because everyone is always asking us how we're going to make it better than last year," she said.
"By bringing the show to Europe, it really shows that Victoria's Secret is serious about broadening its reach," added Kate Omrod, a retail analyst at a London-based company.
Models Lily Aldrige and Ambrosio talked about how competitive it is to secure a spot in the fashion show lineup saying that it takes months of training and dedication. The Angels typically hit the gym taking up boxing, spinning, jump rope training, aerobics, yoga, ballet, lunges, running, step and squats. They also eat very, very healthy and stick to green juices.
