Carrie Underwood Joined By U2’s The Edge During 'Change' Performance At World AIDS Day (RED) Event (WATCH)

It was a magical, memorable moment. While Carrie Underwood was performing her poignant song "Change" as part of U2's surprise World AIDS Day (RED) event in New York City's Times Square Dec. 1, she was joined on stage by U2's guitarist The Edge.

The World AIDS Day (RED) event was organized to thank America for the role it has played in the AIDS fight. The world has reached the beginning of the end of the AIDS epidemic. Thirteen million people now have access to life-saving treatment compared to 300,000 nearly ten years ago. Without the support of American leaders and citizens, it would not have reached this milestone.

Additional performers included Kanye West as well as U2's Adam Clayton, The Edge, and Larry Mullen Jr., who were later joined by Bruce Springsteen and Coldplay's Chris Martin, according to a press release. Former President Bill Clinton also spoke to the massive crowd.
