A mother from the United States was stabbed to death by a woman wearing a full Niqab in an Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates mall bathroom, the Daily News reported on Tuesday.
The attack happened inside the Boutik Mall on Reem Island on Monday. The 37-year-old mother of two twins was killed with a sharp object, and her killer is yet to be identified.
The individual is seen wearing a black abaya, gloves and a black face cover on surveillance video. Police are investigating their identity.
"The police are investigating to uncover the crime's causes and motives and to arrest the culprit," said Colonel Dr. Rashid Mohammad Borshid, Head of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) at Abu Dhabi Police Tuesday.
The woman, who has not been identified, worked as a teacher. The 11-year-old twins' father is expected to fly in from abroad to care for them, Ad Police reported.
"The Community Police will be providing the children with shelter and other needs pending the arrival of their father (the victim's ex-husband) from abroad. The father will be received by the Community Police, who will also cater to the needs of the victim's family," he said.
