Miranda Lambert, Kelly Clarkson To Honor Reba McEntire at American Country Countdown Awards

Reba McEntire is a superstar ... a multi-media superstar. She has achieved success and fame in country music, television, film, theater and business.

For her extensive accomplishments, she will receive the first-ever NASH Icon Award during the inaugural American Country Countdown Awards airing live Dec.15 at 8 p.m. EST on FOX.

McEntire is often hailed as the "Queen of Country Music." Her reign boasts 35 No. 1 singles and more than 56 million albums sold worldwide, as well as leading Pollstar and Billboard Boxscore as the No. 1 female country touring artist with more than nine million tickets sold, according to Country Weekly.

Multi-platinum artists Kelly Clarkson and Miranda Lambert will honor McEntire by performing some of her classic hits and best-known songs on the American Country Countdown Awards show.

Longtime friend and radio host Kix Brooks, formerly of Brooks & Dunn, will present Reba with the NASH Icon Award during the live show at Nashville's Music City Center.

"Besides being one of the classiest people to ever grace Nashville, Tennessee, Reba has not just done it her way, but she's gotten all of her recognition the old fashioned way," noted Brooks. "She's earned it and I've been blessed with the opportunity to tour with her dragging 21 trucks and 19 busses around, and to hear her sing by the campfire. Besides being a talented actor and host, she is seriously one of the best singers I've ever heard. Reba sings with her head, her heart and that amazing voice. She's a treasure Nashville should forever be grateful for ... Congratulations Red!"

Red-hot duo Florida Georgia Line's Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard will host the awards show, and they will perform too. Country heavyweights Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood are set to perform.

One of country's newest stars, Brett Eldredge, will also take the stage.

"The NASH Icon Award celebrates an iconic artist who has made a profound and lasting impact on country music, and Reba is the embodiment of such an icon," said executive producer Mark Bracco. "Her stellar career has influenced generations of artists and fans alike and we're proud to recognize her accomplishments and her ongoing musical impact."

McEntire is a Country Music Hall of Fame and Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame inductee, and has won 15 American Music Awards, 13 ACM Awards, nine People's Choice Awards, seven CMA Awards, two Grammy Awards and an ACM Career Achievement Honor, in addition to receiving the National Artistic Achievement Award from the U.S. Congress, Country Weekly reported.
