"Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Kandi Burruss and her husband, Todd Tucker, are mourning the loss of Tucker's mom Sharon. According to People magazine, Sharon died on Tuesday in New York City after suffering a stroke the day before.
TMZ reports that she went into coma after the stroke.
"Today I lost my partner, my ride or die my best friend!" Tucker wrote on Instagram. "I don't know what to do? I'm lost! My heart hurts so much! She was a fighter, a warrior for her son! It was me and her against the world! She's in a better place!! Mom I love you to death! Rest in peace!"
Sources told People that Tucker and Burruss were both by Sharon's side when she passed.
"Our family suffered a terrible loss," Burruss posted. "She was fun, energetic, loving and caring... [Todd] talked to her every morning... It's hard losing people that you love but when it comes out of the blue with no warning it just makes it that much harder... I'm still in shock."
"RIP Grandma Sharon... I'm trying to be strong but it's so hard, love you so much... You have always been there for me and my dad, your in a better place now watching over me and my dad. Love you... Grandma don't worry I'm here every step of the way for my dad. RIP," Tucker's daughter wrote on Instagram.
Sharon, known as "Miss Sharon," regularly appeared on the Bravo show. There was some tension between her and Burruss' mom "Mama Joyce," after she accused Tucker of using Burruss for money.
Mama Joyce also called Miss Sharon a "streetwalker." According to TMZ, Mama Joyce regrets her "toxic relationship" with Miss Sharon and wishes they could have patched things up before her death. She also reportedly said that she won't attend the funeral out of respect for Miss Sharon's family and friends.
