In a precursor to the full trailer for "Terminator: Genisys" that is going to be released tomorrow, Paramount Pictures has given us a 15 second taste of that trailer today...and I must say that it gave me goose bumps. Check it out below...then try to tell me that this doesn't excite you on some level even if you are just a casual fan of the series which, to be fair, has been spotty over the last few several years:
After the debacle of the EW covers and feature piece which instilled confidence in no one, this short tease of what is come has restored my confidence that this flick will be something worthwhile. I mean, it has the morphing T-1000, a shot of Skynet destroying humanity via nuclear strikes, what appears to be the time machine used by John Conner and Kyle Reese to go back to 1984, the signature pounding, machine-like soundtrack theme and, of course, Arnie himself as the T-800.
"Terminator: Genisys" stars Emilia Clarke, Jai Courtney, Matt Smith, Jason Clarke, and Arnold Schwarzenegger, and it's being helmed by Alan Taylor ("Thor: The Dark World"). It is scheduled for release on July 1, 2015.
